Can I do this?
Hi,
I may not do this, but I'm beginning to think that I've maybe made the wrong choice in a secondary profession. My current char is a W/E12 What I'm wondering is.. if I take off my armour/weapon etc that are all customized for my character name, put them in storage. Then delete my W/E character, then immediately make a new W/Mo using the same name; will I be able to use these items on the new char? Thanks very much |

I did that once so, yes, it works as long as your primary profession remains W.

I tried that and it didn't work. Made a pvp char, then made a PvE one. Maybe it does work with PvE Chars.

I don't think it works PvP to PvE because PvP characters. I did it from PvE to PvE. You also won't be able to get the stuff you stashed, obviously, until you get to post-searing Ascalon.

hehe wanna know something else that works? Your points earned in PvP transfer to. Last night I deleted my PvE necro and made a PvE monk instead with the same name. My PvP points appeared in there for my now Monk hehe.

Well I'll try it now with 2 new chars as you can have 4 chars on the account.
Hmm, actually is there a storage facility in the n0000b ascalon? |

Post Ascalon is the only place storage can be accessed.

or you could just wait and change your secondary in the game.

first of all, W/E is awesome...
if you really wanna switch secondaries, its in the desert, after you ascent. you'll get 5 skills and you'll be able to unlock aprox 10 more from new quests. then you need to earn the others through buying them (1 skill point, 1 platinum). you will always be able to switch back, and have all of your old skills, so no worries |

Aniewiel - Unless they have changed how things work, what he's wanting to do will not work. I've tried it going from a PvE character to another PvE character and both had the same primary profession and the exact same name, but the game wouldn't let me equip the items.
So unless ANet have changed it, once an item is customized (and armor always comes customized) then it's unusable by any other character, even if they have the exact same name. |

It would make sense that it wouldn't be possible, as it'd be fairly easy to get some high level armor, remake, then own around the ascalon arena with 60+al armor.
Not like people aren't already doing that tho.. |

No you cannot transfer armor, I have tried. And no, there is no storage in Pre-searing. Just hang tight, you can change your secondary all you want later in the game.
